Johor Bahru (JB) is the capital of the state of the city Johor. At the southern tip of the country Johor Bahru acts as the gateway to Singapore. In the city there is a bridge known as Johor Bahru Bridge which is of 1038 meters and connects the two countries. The city is famous for its shopping and entertainment and which is also very inexpensive so it is also known as “half price bazaar”. It is one of the important cities of Malaysia.

The mosque is very popular and it is constructed in between 1892 and 1900. Moorish architecture is there in the constructional feature of the mosque. It is on the hill top and consists of both Islamic and Western architecture. 2.) There is a royal palace of the Sultan of Johor known as Istana Besar. It was built in 1866 by Sultan Abu Bakar. It is now currently used for royal function and state banquets. It is constructed with Malay architectures. There is great collection of rare artifacts, royal heirloom. 3.) Sibu Island is one of the attractive tourist spots of Johor Bahru. The island look like a bat or a bird resting with his wings outstretched from an aerial point of view. The guests those who want calm and quiet place for them it is a very good choice. The water is of emerald green waters. 4.) Tanjung Piai is Johor National park. There is a huge collection of different species of flora and fauna. It is famous for bird watchers in the season from September to March. It is just 75 km from Johor Bahru. 5.) Mount Lambak Recreational Forest is located at the foot hill o Gunung Lambak. This place famous for picnics and mount climbing. It is great place for swimming loves also. 6.) Teluk Buih Beach is a wonderful place. Foamy white surf lashes on the shores of this place. On weekend and public holidays this beach is very popular for the picnickers.
